Ghana’s under 5 mortality remains high (111/1000 live births in 2001-2006). Declines in mortality that began in the 1980’s have slowed. Between 1984 and 1998 child mortality declined by 43/1000 live births.

Past Event: Stakeholder Dissemination Workshop of the Better Medicines for Children Project
The Better Medicines for Children project has been inaugurated and baseline assessments on the country situation on child medicines have been done and have yielded data to support policy decision-making. A stakeholder meeting was help on the 28th June 2011, at Miklin Hotel to disseminate project findings and initiate the necessary change in support of better medicines for children.
